That means absolutly no cutting on plates , oven trays , Stainless Steel or stone bench tops . Never put your knife in a kitchen sink , dishwasher or draws with other knives , doing so risks your blades to chipping or folding over the edge . Wipe your knife with a wet cloth after use and place it in a wooden block made to fit . Glass chopping boards are witless . Use a wooden or plastic chopping board . Following this advice means you don't have to sharpen your knife so often , if at all in the near future .
